Sheryl Underwood, an American television host, comedian and actor famous for hosting The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime. The Talk. She was raised by Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is from a troubled family. She spent the majority of her growing up taking care of her sister Frankie who was afflicted by the disease of polio. In her early years, she had a relations with her mother were not always smooth. Sheryl stated that at one point her mother had attacked the father of her child because she was getting close to the father. After her graduation from college, Sheryl became a military officer. Her passion was comedy. She was the first woman to be a finalist in the competition Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. Her TV career began in 1992, as a performer for the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam. She was a TV host for the 2000 season of Oh Drama! Since 2011, she has been hosting as a co-host of the talk show The Talk. In addition she has also played fictional roles in series including Bulworth Nikki, and Beauty Shop.
