Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been a Greek American columnist, author and businesswoman for over 20 years. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington, an independently-owned liberal news outlet, is a television personality author, author and charitable donor. Her birthplace was Greece she relocated to England at the age of 16 and completed her studies at Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The famous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first president and she took it at the age of 21. In the years following after her college graduation, she was a well-known Conservative syndicated journalist. In the years after that she launched The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present political scene. It was her celebrity that has led to the attraction of many well-known contributors for posting their opinions on the news political, culture and politics. Arianna became famous in 2003, when she ran as an independent in California recall election to succeed Governor Davis. Alongside this, she led a Detroit project that promoted fuel efficient cars. Forbes placed her at 12 on its list for the Most Popular Media Women. Guardian also included the HuffingtonPost in their list of the top 100 in the year 2010. AOL, Inc. named her president of their media division in 2011 following the bought The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post also included additional AOL brands such as Engadget AOLmusic Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos and Elli the other, both of whom are journalist and management consultants. Although she was a close friend to her father it was her bond with her mother that shaped her entire life. In her earliest years she demonstrated leadership skills that remain highly respected. In the year she turned 16, she moved from the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined the debating group Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign and third female president. In 1972, she earned an honorary degree in Economics. After her graduation she worked as a columnist critic and as a host on television. She appeared alongside Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began writing her own books with his aid.
