Anna Silk is a Fredericton native, the daughter Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had a diverse range of abilities, which included the ability perform, direct, produce, write plays as well as teach and serve as Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton and is the child of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" who hails originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending rehearsals for productions as a young girl as well as watching her mother at work. In her early years Anna appeared in a number of television commercials. Anna moved from Toronto and moved to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman, whom she met at an Los Angeles actors' workshop earlier in 2007, was her husband in 2009. They married in a civil ceremony that ended in December. They renew their vows during a Jewish wedding ceremony held in Fredericton in April of 2011 after Anna's conversion to Judaism. Bo's relationship with a sex partner, and Lauren (played Zoie Palermo) was featured in CNN as one of the top Television Couples. E! named the couple "the most popular TV Couple" of 2013.
